I am very impressed with your homepage and the calendars that you have created for our use... the countdown clocks, the perpetual calendar, etc. My Grandfather was born 123 years ago, and he always maintained that he was born on Friday the 13th. Your calendars show that he was born on Saturday, rather than Friday (the Russian calendar shows Thursday as his birthdate). It was interesting to find out that his feeling that he was born on Friday the 13th was just another one of his "character traits" that made him so special.

Your calendar program helped my wife at her job. Her boss
is a doctor and he needed calendars for the years 1993 and
1994. She called me at work and asked if I could help
because she knows I have Internet access. I am an
electrical engineer with the EATON Corporation and use the
InterNet a lot to obtain vendor information. I remembered
seeing your program and downloaded the calendars. I then
FAXed copies of the calendars to her office.
Total elapsed time - 10 minutes.
My wife, Sandy, and I thank You for your unique Web site.

Very interesting work you do. You are quite young but also quite intelligent. I must admit, I thought this was put out by someone much older like me. I'm 33 but have a youngish look.
That's what I have been told. I was interested in your clock of times from around the world because I talk to some friends I made over the Internet. One lives in Australia the other in Sweden.
I have a request. Do you think you could add the city of Houston, which is in the Central Time Zone of the United States, to your world clock? That's the closest big U.S. city to me--about 45 minutes
away. The same as Dallas which I saw on your clock. I would like a courtesy response to my e-mail address if this is possible. I am always looking for new people around the world to communicate with.
I'm sure you receive an abundant amount of mail each day being that you are world wide. But it would be nice to hear from someone from Norway. Take care Steffen. By the way, my friend in Sweden, his name
is Stefan!

Hmmm...I did a search for Thorsen (my mother's family name), and found you.
I'm a music student at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania (USA) in my
third year (of four).
Just doing some searches on my surname! My grandfather is Torjus Thorsen, born and
brought up in Haugesund and came to the US when he was 18 years old, in 1923.
My grandmother is also from Norway, but her family came from Oslo.
I know I still have family there, but I can't remember where, or even if
there are still "Thorsens" (or "Olsens") from the same family tree.

Thanks for the space to write!
Becka Leyon

p.s. my surname "Leyon" used to be Swedish "Lejon", but was Americanized.
So my father (Swedish descent) married a Norsk "Thorsen".
I find it interesting that they are now divorced.... ;-)

Anyway, just a little bit of trivia in case you didn't know.
Good luck in your studies and keep up the good work on your pages!

Nice homepage! I got here looking for a calendar -- yours
is the best one I've found. I lived for a couple of years
in Frankfurt. My company had a contract with the Bundesanstalt
fuer Flugsicherung and the project I worked on was a simulator
to train air traffic controllers, won by Ericsson. So I spent
quite a lot of time in Stockholm (actually the factory was
north, in Kista) and really loved Scandanavia. I was there
in July and December -- I imagine you're not having much
daylight right now! But I remember how cheery the Christmas
lights were!
